We’re looking for volunteers to assist us at Stockton Wellbeing Hub.
This role offers the chance to make a positive impact, develop new skills, and be part of a supportive team.
Minimum time requirements
The minimum time requirement is half a day a week, but you could volunteer for up to one and a half days each week.
Volunteer times are between 9:15am to 1:15pm or 12:45pm to 4:45pm, Monday to Friday.
Role description
This role offers an opportunity for you to welcome people into the Wellbeing Hub, you will be the first person someone comes into contact with, ensuring they receive a friendly greeting and a warm welcome.
You will be able to make drinks for people coming into the Wellbeing Hub and offer support with gathering information for reporting, and setting up rooms.
You’ll be able to provide additional assistance for visitors with individual needs following Catalyst’s procedures and the Wellbeing Hub e.g. guidance for visual impaired service-users or support for those with mobility issues.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities include:
supporting the set-up of rooms for meetings/ conferences.
being happy to approach people to get drinks orders or to support the warm welcome for people into the building.
answering the phone in a professional and welcoming manner and passing queries to the appropriate staff member.
being an integral part of a multi-skilled team of volunteers.
receiving supervision and support from the Wellbeing Hub Project Manager (WBHM), seeking advice and guidance from the WBHM when necessary.
supporting serving refreshments as required and cleaning cups and wiping down surfaces.
carrying out duties with due regard to the Catalyst Volunteer agreement, handbook, and the equal opportunities policy.

having an understanding of challenges and barriers for people accessing services and activities
having an understanding of mental health and ill mental health difficulties that individuals may face
having an understanding of information collection for data reporting
having good communication skills and the ability to start a conversation with people from all walks of life, in person and on the telephone
